Rishabh Pant will get first priority
Rituraj Gaikwad has not been selected for this T20 cricket series against Sri Lanka. Rituraj Gaikwad, who has already scored a T20I century in the handful of opportunities he got, did not get a place in the 15-man squad due to competition between the players. Wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant, who played at number 3 in the T20 World Cup, will join the team of 11 as the first choice wicketkeeper batsman and has taken the number 3. As a result, Sanju Samson also missed the opportunity in the middle order.
Priority will be given to spinners
With Hardik Pandya playing, an additional fast bowler will be available, so India is likely to field veteran leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi along with two spin bowling all-rounders. Arshadeep Singh and Mohammad Siraj will appear in the team as two fast bowlers, while Axar Patel and Washington Sundar will be responsible for batting as well as spin bowling.
