The Red Raiders (5-3, 3-2) have lost consecutive games after winning four in a row. This is the fourth occurrence of Tech losing back-to-back game in the Joey McGuire era.

5:42 p.m.: TCU only needs two plays to get into the end zone. Hoover hits Eric McAlister, who takes it 84 yards for the TD. TCU now leads 35-34 with 5:10 left.

5:28 p.m.: Josh Hoover hits Jack Bech for a short TD throw but the play is wiped out by a penalty.
5:20 p.m.: Texas Tech gets deep into TCU territory but has to settle for a 24-yard field goal from Gino Garcia. Red Raiders lead 34-21 with 11:13 left.
5:12 p.m.: End of third, Texas Tech leads 31-21 facing a 2nd-and-7 from the TCU 49.
5:08 p.m.: TCU gets some traction with a short TD run by Jeremy Payne. Texas Tech leads 31-21, 3:07 left in third
4:48 p.m.: Will Hamond takes in a 4-yard TD run to make it 28 unanswered points for Texas Tech. Red Raiders lead 31-14.
4:46 p.m.: Let’s play catchup: Behren Morton is unlikely to return to the game. Will Hammond led Tech to a TD on the opening drive of the second half. Chapman Lewis got his third interception of the year on a tipped pass from Josh Hoover. Red Raiders are inside the TCU 20.
4:12 p.m.: We’ve reached halftime with Texas Tech leading TCU 17-14. Red Raiders buckled down in the second quarter and gets the ball to start the second half.
4:07 p.m.: Behren Morton is sacked on 3rd-and-9 to take the field goal try out of range. TCU ball at the 20 with 36 seconds left.
4:01 p.m.: Jalin Conyers catches a 25-yard pass to convert on 3rd-and-long. He had 17 total receiving yards in the previous four games combined. Two-minute timeout.
3:52 p.m.: Texas Tech can’t make anything of the drive and Reese Burkhardt misses a 50-yard field goal attempt, the first missed FG of the year for the Red Raiders. 5:07 left in second.
3:49 p.m. C.J. Baskerville skies for the interception to give Texas Tech possession at the TCU 30.
3:36 p.m.: The tides have turned as Texas Tech takes the lead on a short TD run from Tahj Brooks. Red Raiders up 17-14, 10:44 left in second.
3:23 p.m.: Trick play alert! Tech gains zero yards in its first three plays but runs a fake field goal as Reese Burkhardt runs it in for a TD. Red Raiders trim deficit to 14-10, 13-9 left.
3:21 p.m.: Big defensive play as Harvey Dyson III gets a strip sack and Tech recovers at the TCU 4. Dyson also recovered the fumble.

3:03 p.m.: Texas Tech gets into the red zone before having to settle for a 38-yard field goal from Gino Garcia. Red Raiders trail 7-3, 1:45 left in first.
2:55 p.m.: Gang sack for Texas Tech led by Brenden Jordan and Charles Esters to bring down TCU QB Josh Hoover to force a punt. TCU gets a re-punt after running into the kicker and this boot only goes 20 yards. Tech ball at the TCU 41, 5:00 left in first quarter.
2:48 p.m.: Tahj Brooks drops a pass that could’ve gone a long way and Texas Tech has to punt. Jack Burgess kicks it 40 yards and TCU will start the drive inside its own 10.
2:41 p.m.: TCU has little trouble marching down the field as Savion Williams spins through the Texas Tech defense for the rushing score out of the Wildcat, going 35 yards. TCU up 7-0, 10:48 left in first.
2:34 p.m.: TCU will receive the kickoff to open the game.
2:31 p.m.: The start of the Texas Tech-TCU game will begin on FS2 while until the conclusion of Ohio State-Nebraska on FOX.
1:53 p.m.: Among the notable players out for today’s game includes Bryce Ramirez. Texas Tech’s availability report, released 45 minutes before the game, states that the senior linebacker “underwent a surgical procedure Friday on his lower leg. This was the result of a complication from his 2022 injury he suffered at North Carolina State and was discovered as part of regular medical evaluation by Texas Tech’s medical staff.
