Young actor Akkineni Naga Chaitanya claims that the idea of fixing the release date and working toward it would mount pressure on the creative team. “I am slightly apprehensive about fixing a particular date for release and then working fast to meet the deadline,’ he said at an event for his upcoming film ‘Thandel’. “I had experienced this pressure a few times as my films were released on the said date without properly completing the film in all aspects and disappointed a bit,“ he adds. Similarly, when the release date of ‘Thandel’ was announced, he also became curious about it during the last leg of the shooting. “I checked out with my director and producer but they didn’t clarify. Finally, I pestered Allu Arvind garu a couple of times about the ‘release date’ since it has been the practice in Tollywood,” he informs. “We hurry up things and conclude certain aspects to meet the deadline,” he adds
He claims that he always believed that release should be planned after watching the preliminary outcome. “From the beginning of my career, I used to believe that we have to watch the first copy and be satisfied, and then the release plan has to be drafted. But it happened just a few times,” he points out. So, when he finally got the assurance from Allu Arvind that he would watch the film and see how the budget had been spent then he would think of release. ‘I heaved a sigh of relief’, he quips.
He claims that his film is inspired by real-life fishermen from Srikakulam and we have to depict it as realistically as possible. “It is a massive film and it has been made on a bigger scale to showcase their trials and tribulations with utmost care and commitment,’ he adds
Finally, he expressed apprehension about matching dancing steps with Sai Pallavi and “it is always difficult with her’.
