‘Pushpa 2’ box office: The Allu Arjun starrer performs better in Mumbai than Andhra/Nizam; records highest non-holiday Tuesday of all time! | Hindi Movie News

‘Pushpa 2‘ is creating a huge stir at the box office. The Allu Arjun starrer is proving to be one juggernaut of a film and what’s shocking is that the Hindi version of the film is performing so well, just as much as the Telugu version. Infact, after its huge first weekend and the initial 4-day run, the movie has performed better in Mumbai than in the Andhra and Nizam regions.
According to Box Office India, the movie made Rs 14.45 crore net in Mumbai while the collections in the Andhra/Nizam territory were around Rs 12.84 crore. This feat is unthinkable for a Telugu movie on a Monday, but ‘Pushpa 2’ has beautifully managed to do that and left everyone shocked. Thus, the film hasn’t performed as much as it should have in Telugu, but it has performed better in Hindi. The distributors have been expecting better numbers for the film in Telugu, but it is around the numbers of ‘RRR’.
The total collection from the Mumbai circuit which also includes the Telugu version, now stands at Rs 107 crore. Meanwhile, ‘Pushpa 2’ has recorded the second highest tuesday of all time, with ‘Bridge 2‘ being on top. But it was a holiday. Thus, ‘Pushpa 2’ has recorded the highest non-holiday Tuesday number of all time.
The film’s Hindi version has made Rs 34 crore on it’s first Tuesday. Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Animal’ and ‘Baahubali 2‘ stand at the number 3 and 4 position in this list of highest grossing first tuesdays with Rs 33 crore and Rs 29 crore respectively.
But ‘Pushpa 2’ is clearly not stopping here as the film continues to roar at the box office and how!
