BMW showcased the F 450 GS at EICMA 2024, and it will be manufactured in India.
It was good to see that BMW launched its entry-level bikes in India with TVS, namely the G310R and G310RR. I wanted to know why they are not introducing or manufacturing the 500cc and 650cc bikes, such as the G500R, G650R, G500GS, and G650GS, like the earlier 300cc versions. Or, is there any plan for BMW to introduce or manufacture its 500cc and 650cc variants in the near future? I did check the bike’s line-up, and after the G310R and G310RR, there is a huge void, with all the bigger siblings starting from the 850cc range.

Autocar India says: Your question comes at a very good time, as BMW recently revealed a concept bike at EICMA 2024 powered by a 450cc parallel twin engine. This concept is styled to look like one of BMW’s big off-road bikes, and it is named the F 450 GS.
The bike will be manufactured in India by TVS, and while not all the details have been revealed, we do know that the engine will produce around 48hp. The new F 450 GS will be the first bike to feature this engine, but BMW is likely to use it in other future products, such as a street naked bike. We expect to see the production-spec F 450 GS launched in the first half of 2025.
