A Hollywood producer made Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie an offer he thought they could not refuse, and now, it appears that he has got his answer.
Producer Danny Rossner made headlines last month when he revealed that he was willing to sign a ‘blank cheque’ to get the warring couple together on-screen again. The producer and his investors were reportedly willing to give Jolie and Pitt a free hand to decide what remuneration they thought they deserved to play lovers in a film inspired by the life of real-life hotelier Emmanuel Martinez.
However, according to DailyMail, Pitt has reportedly rejected the offer, with sources close to the actor calling it nothing more than a “publicity stunt.” Insiders reportedly told the portal that the 60-year-old star, has no interest in revisiting a professional partnership with Jolie, given their ongoing personal and legal battle.“All the money in the world wouldn’t get Brad to appear in a movie with Angelina ever again,” an insider told the portal and went on to add that “there is no way Brad would lower himself to be paid any amount of money to talk to Angie on screen.”
Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt in September 2016 following a highly publicized altercation on their private jet. Since then, the former power couple—once known as “Brangelina”—has remained locked in a prolonged and contentious divorce battle. They were declared legally single in 2019 but continue to fight over ownership of their French vineyard estate, Chateau Miraval as part of the divorce proceedings.
The fallout has also reportedly strained Pitt’s relationships with his children, including daughter Shiloh, twins Knox and Vivienne, and adopted children Maddox, Pax and Zahara. According to the latest reports his kids Shiloh, Vivienne and Zahara have all legally dropped ‘Pitt’ from their surnames.
The proposed film was reportedly set at the Hotel Martinez in Cannes during World War II. Meanwhile, reports also add that there may never have been any real deal for either party to entertain the idea.
