Sonia Gandhi discharged from Delhi hospital

Congress leader Sonia Gandhi who was admitted to the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi, has been discharged on Friday (February 21, 2025).

Ms. Gandhi (78) was admitted on Thursday for mild pancreatitis. She underwent routine check-ups and her condition was stable, sources at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital said.

Ms. Gandhi, the Chairperson of the Congress Parliamentary Party and a Rajya Sabha member, has been battling illness for a long time and has taken a step back from many party engagements. She opted out from contesting Lok Sabha elections last year, and her son Rahul Gandhi won from Rae Bareli, a constituency which she represented since 2004.
