He actually recognized me and it actually felt happy because he didn’t say Aastha Shah, he pointed at me and said ‘vitiligo champion,’ which means he knows I am spreading awareness about vitiligo. If I would have just come out on the internet as a fair girl, you would not really know I have vitiligo; I could have actually hidden the fact that I have vitiligo, but the reason I got it out is because I wanted people to know that I have vitiligo. So, calling me ‘vitiligo champion’ felt so good.”
