Tata Motors and its Sri Lankan partner, Don’t don’thave launched a new range of passenger vehicles in Sri Lanka, including internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles and electric vehicles (EVs). This marks Tata Motors’ re-entry into the Sri Lankan market after its reopening.
The launch includes the Tata Punch, Nexon, and Curvv SUVs, as well as the Tiago.ev electric hatchback. The companies also previewed the electric versions of the Punch, Nexon, and Curvv.
Tata Motors offers a three-year/100,000 km warranty for ICE vehicles and a three-year/125,000 km warranty for EVs, with an eight-year/165,000 km warranty for the EV battery and motor. DIMO provides 24/7 roadside assistance, technical support, and access to Tata Motors’ repair resources. The vehicles are available through DIMO’s branch network with a starting price of LKR 8.7 million, the company said in a media release.
The launch provided a glimpse into Tata Motors’ broader EV strategy, with previews of the electric versions of the Punch, Nexon, and Curvv. These models are intended to highlight the company’s capabilities in electric vehicle development. The companies emphasized the modern technologies, distinctive design, safety features, and performance capabilities of the new vehicle range.
