Salman Khanwho is currently busy promoting his upcoming film Sikandarhas addressed the ongoing discussions about his pairing with younger actresses. The superstar stated that while he would love to work with actors like Annasan Sand and Janhvi Kapoorpublic perception often makes it difficult.
Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, Salman said, “If I want to work with Ananya or Janhvi, people have made it difficult for me because then they talk about age gap.” He emphasized that his collaborations with younger talents stem from a desire to provide them with better opportunities. “I work with them thinking it’s giving them a good opportunity, and even then, I will continue to work with them,” he added.
The Tiger 3 star also spoke about the lack of multi-starrer films in Bollywood today, blaming it on actors’ insecurities. He revealed, “I had once suggested a filmmaker make something with an ensemble cast, but all the actors of the current generation refused to work with each other.”
He compared this to his era, stating, “Actors have become very insecure. We were comfortable doing multi-cast films because, for us, it was about bringing all our fans together to make the film a hit. We spent 100-200 days working together and eventually became friends.”
Meanwhile, Salman’s upcoming film Sikandar marks his first collaboration with Rashmika mandanna. During the trailer launch, when questioned about their 31-year age difference, he firmly responded that if the actress had no issue, others shouldn’t either.
