Hyderabad: A complaint by a child that he and his friends were unable to play cricket at a site at Raidurg as the land was being fenced off, led to HYDRAA quashing an alleged attempt to grab 39 acres of land.
HYDRAA officials went to the spot and found that 39 acres of government land was being encroached by Narne Estates. HYDRAA stated that although there were boards in place about a land grabbing case pending on the land, Narne Estates had erected their own boards with their phone numbers and were advertising the sale of plots.
Authorities removed the cement walls and fencing done around the property, and erected another board stating a case on land grabbing was pending in the High Court, and that the land was under HYDRAA protection.
HYDRAA also removed illegal road encroachments at Turkayamjal. Based on complaints from locals, HYDRAA removed encroachments on the 45-feet-wide road and a 25-feet-wide road at Srirangapuram Colony in Injapur village of Turkayamjal.
