Prabhas starrer Kalki 2898 AD, with names like Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Deepika Padukone is one of the most anticipated films of 2024, it is directed by Nag Ashwinand is backed by Vyjayanthi Movies. The makers of the film got a jolt a few days back when an unseen image of Prabhas from a key scene of the film was leaked online. This gave out a major clue about Prabhas’ role in the film and given the strong fan following of the actor, it was even widely shared.It is being reported that the makers were able to locate the source of the leak, which was an employee of the VFX company hired by the makers. The employee has been asked to leave and legal action is also being planned on the VFX company.
And to make it even more difficult, the makers of the film have issued a public notice, warning of criminal actions against unauthorised individuals sharing any materials of Kalki 2898 AD, including any scenes/images/footage/music/stills.
“This is to inform the public at large that Vyjayanthi Movies are the sole and exclusive owners of all copyright and intellectual property rights in the ‘Film’ titled ‘KALKI 2898 AD’ and all underlying works including the scenes/music/footage/stills/images and other materials pertaining to the said film. Sharing of any materials of the film materials including any scenes/images/footage of the film by any persons including through social media is a criminal offence punishable under the Copyright Act, 1957 and other statutes. If any persons are found guilty of sharing / leaking any information / news leaks / materials of the Film, then criminal proceedings shall be initiated against all such persons as per law with the support of Cyber Police,” the statement said.
The first glance of Kalki 2898 AD was released during the San Diego Comic-Con which was attended by Prabhas, Rana Daggubatti, Kamal Haasan and Nag Ashwin. The first look featured Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan, but Kamal Haasan’s look was not revealed to the audience.
The film was shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi.
