Aston Martin has unveiled the Vantage S, a more powerful and track-focused version of the British carmaker’s entry-level sports car. The Vantage S gets an uprated version of the standard Vantage’s engine, and numerous chassis and suspension tweaks to make it sharper and more responsive dynamically. Order books are now open for the Aston Martin Vantage S – available in both coupe and roadster body styles – with deliveries set to commence in October 2025.
- Aston Martin Vantage S makes 15hp more and is 0.1sec quicker from 0-100kph

Aston Martin Vantage S powertrain and performance
Makes 15hp more than the base Vantage.

The Vantage S carries forward the standard model’s Mercedes-derived 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, but Aston Martin has increased its power output to 680hp – up 15hp. Torque remains unchanged at 800Nm, but it now peaks between 3,000rpm and 6,000rpm, which is 250rpm higher than the base Vantage’s 2,750-6,000rpm figure. This grunt is routed solely to the rear wheels via an 8-speed ZF torque converter automatic gearbox.
0.1sec quicker to 100kph from rest.
Further aiding power delivery in the Vantage S is a more responsive tune for the drive-by-wire throttle system, and all of these changes come together for a 0-100kph time of 3.4 seconds – 0.1sec quicker than the Vantage – while the 10.1sec 0-200kph time and 325kph top speed are unchanged.
Aston Martin Vantage S chassis and suspension changes
Nimbler handling, more pliant ride quality.

Alongside the engine tweaks, Aston Martin has recalibrated the Vantage S’ adaptive dampers to enhance cornering feel and response at the front, while stiffness in the rear springs sees a reduction to improve low-speed ride comfort. The rear transaxle mounts are 10 percent softer as well, which should help control powertrain movement relative to the body and chassis.
The rear subframe of the Vantage S also eschews rubber bushes as mounting points, with it being directly mounted to the body for greater agility and steering feel in the corners. Lastly, Aston Martin has fine-tuned the suspension’s camber, caster and toe settings to “sharpen response, improve front-end grip under high lateral loadings, and precisely dial-in the overall dynamic balance.”
Aston Martin Vantage S exterior design changes

On the outside, the Vantage S gets some notable differentiators over the standard model, like ‘S’ badging on the fenders, aero blades in the bonnet ducts, new optional 21-inch satin black alloy wheels with red accents and bronze brake calipers, and most prominently, a full-width decklid spoiler.
Improved downforce thanks to new spoiler.
The latter fitment increases rear downforce by 44kg, and aero updates to the front and underbody contribute another 67kg, making for a cumulative 111kg of downforce at top speed.
Aston Martin Vantage S interior updates
‘S’ design touches continue inside.

The cabin of the Vantage S sports ‘S’ logos on the door sills and seat headrests, carbonfibre and Alcantara trims as standard, and an optional package that includes red accents on the rotary drive mode selector, seat belts, stitching, etc. Elsewhere, the Vantage S continues to offer goodies like a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, ADAS, and more.
