Faash faash’s latest film ‘Maareesan’ has found a fan in Kamal Haasan. The legendary actor and filmmaker recent tok tok to social media to express his admiration for the Fahadh Faasil and Vadivelu starrer.Taking to his official Twitter handle Kamal Haasan wrote, “Watched Maareesan – a film that dances effortlessly between wit and depth, leaving me laughing, thinking, and admiring its craft. Had a wonderful conversation with the team to congratulate them on this delightful creation.”
The ‘Thug Life’ actor further wrote, “Beneath its humour lies a socially conscious lens on human emotion and a keen gaze at the darker shadows of our society. The kind of inventive, spirited cinema I naturally gravitate towards – both as viewer and creator. #Maareesan.”

Fahadh Faasil recently opened up about the warm and relaxed bond he shares with Kamal Haasan. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the ‘Vikram’ actor revealed that whenever the two meet, they spend hours simply cracking jokes. “When Kamal sir and I meet, we crack jokes for like two, three hours. It’s got nothing to do with cinema. It’s mostly about what’s going on and around,” Fahadh said, offering a glimpse into their candid, offscreen camaraderie.
Learning from presence, not questions
Interestingly, despite Kamal Haasan’s status as a revered icon in Indian cinemaFahadh shared that he never really discusses acting or craft with the veteran. “There has never been a moment where I could ask him: ‘Sir, how did you do that shot?’” Fahadh admitted. Instead, he believes in learning through observation and shared presence. “But spending time with him, I understand how he did it. I totally understand how he took a call, why he didn’t do it and why he did it,” Fahadh explained.Meanwhile, ‘Maareesan’ is getting good reviews from the audiences.
