WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Monday will feature some sun in the morning along with afternoon scattered storms. It will once again be very hot and humid. Highs remain in the lower 90s. There will most likely be a heat advisory issued Monday and Tuesday for Palm Beach County due to heat indices forecast up to 110. The Treasure Coast will be near 105 with some spots inland around 105-110.
A front is stalling near the Florida-Georgia state line, which will allow for more moisture resulting in greater rain chances this week.

Later in the week, the heat is expected to improve with high temperatures back near 90. It will still be very hot and humid in the mornings ahead of the afternoon storms. The rain will hopefully help out with our drought, which we are sitting between 6 inches to a foot of needed rainfall.
TROPICS
It is now clear that we are getting deeper into hurricane season as we are monitoring two areas of potential tropical development and our newest named storm— Dexter.
NHC
Tropical Storm Dexter will have no direct impacts to the U.S. and will most likely be a “fish storm”.
Another area of low pressure (highlighted in yellow) could form a few hundred miles off the Carolinas in the next couple of days. While chances are low right now, some tropical development is possible as it drifts northwest later in the week. The Carolinas and Mid-Atlantic will need to watch this area closely.
wptv
Closer to Africa, a tropical wave (highlighted in orange) is expected to move off the coast in the next day or so. A tropical depression could form later this week as it tracks west-northwest across the central Atlantic. For now, there are no concerns for South Florida, but we’ll continue to monitor these systems closely.
