Renault India has dropped the first teaser of the Kiger facelift ahead of the compact SUV’s launch on August 24. After the recently introduced Triber facelift, the new Kiger will be the second model in Renault’s Rethink brand transformation plan. Exterior and interior refreshes are most likely, while the powertrains may be carried over.
- New seat upholstery, 6 airbags could be on offer
- Existing Kiger engine options are expected to be carried over
- Facelifted Renault Kiger price might be between Rs 6.5 lakh and Rs 11.5 lakh
Renault Kiger facelift teaser details
According to the Kiger teaser, one can spot three key features: a new green colour paint, fresh graphics on the B pillar, and a smoked-out reverse light section. Previously spied test mules showed minor design changes; sheet metal changes are unlikely.
Renault Kiger facelift exterior changes
Kiger’s alloy wheel size and design may see no change, as per spy shots so far. All-new fog lamps, as well as refreshed bumpers, may be added. The upcoming Kiger will also don the brand’s new diamond logo, something that was earlier confirmed to us by Francisco Marques, VP, Marketing and Sales, Renault India.
Renault Kiger facelift interior and safety upgrades
Details about the upgrades to the Kiger interior are unclear at the moment, but like its badge-engineered Nissan Magnite sibling, mild tweaks to the dashboard, along with soft-touch materials and new upholstery for the seats and door trims, are anticipated. Like the new Triber, the Kiger may also see an upgrade to safety with 6 airbags as standard.
Renault Kiger facelift engine and gearbox options
The 2025 Kiger on sale right now comes with 72hp, 1.0-litre naturally aspirated and 100hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine options. A 5-speed manual gearbox is standard, with the former also available with an AMT and the latter with a CVT automatic. Since this is a facelift, any changes to the Kiger’s powertrains are not expected. Kiger CNG, offered through retrofitment, may also continue to be available.
