Hyderabad: The city police on Thursday arrested two persons in connection with a drugs case.
The arrested have been identified as Mohit Sanjay Mehra alias Mohit (33), a businessman and resident of Narsingi, and Nagaram Jason Raj alias Jason (28), a private Employee and resident of Padmarao Nagar in Secunderabad. Mohit is a local peddler, while Jason was a consumer, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Task Force, YVS Sudheendra said.
He said Mohit was born and brought up in Mumbai and completed his education in B.Tech Mechanical. Mohit started his own business and for expansion of his business, he migrated to Hyderabad in 2021 along with his wife.
His divorce led him to consume drugs with friends and became a regular visitor to pubs late at night. His regular habit of consumption gradually lured himself to become a peddler and now he was found to be procuring cocaine exclusively from his supplier in Mumbai for Rs.10,000 per gram and sell it to his customers for Rs.25,000 per gram and enjoy a lavish lifestyle.
For five months he has been indulging in cocaine peddling to sell it in Hyderabad to needy customers at a higher price to earn easy money and enjoy a lavish lifestyle, he said.
