The TVS Orbiter is the company’s newest electric scooter and is positioned alongside the base TVS iQube. Here are answers to some of the most common questions about it.
What battery and range does the TVS Orbiter offer?
The Orbiter is equipped with a 3.1kWh battery pack, with a claimed IDC range of 158km. Based on our experience with the iQube, which delivered real-world figures very close to TVS’ claims, we expect the Orbiter to realistically manage around 120km on a single charge. Final real-world numbers will only be confirmed once we test it.
How fast is the TVS Orbiter?
TVS has capped the Orbiter’s top speed at 68kph. While that makes it slower than performance-focused EVs, it should be more than adequate for everyday city commutes, which is the scooter’s intended role. Power comes from a BLDC motor with a peak output of 2.8kW, enabling a claimed 0-40kph time of 6.8s.
What features does the TVS Orbiter come with?
For an entry-level EV, the Orbiter is surprisingly well equipped. Standard features include cruise control, hill-hold assist, parking assist (reverse function), Eco and Power modes, and connected tech via the TVS mobile app. The app enables turn-by-turn navigation, over-the-air updates, and safety alerts such as anti-theft, crash, and geo-fencing notifications.
What is the storage capacity of the TVS Orbiter?
The Orbiter features a 34-litre underseat storage compartment, which TVS says can hold two helmets. From the visuals shown, these appeared to be two half-face units, so we’ll have to wait until we test the scooter to confirm if a full-face helmet fits. For reference, the Ather Rizta also offers a 34-litre boot, and we managed to fit a full-face AGV helmet with a bulky Sena Bluetooth intercom inside.

What is the price of the TVS Orbiter?
The TVS Orbiter has been launched at Rs 99,900 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru), inclusive of subsidies under the PM e-Drive scheme. This prices it on par with the base variant of the TVS iQube that features a smaller 2.2kWh battery pack.
