New Delhi: Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) on Monday reported a 4 per cent year-on year (YoY) decline in its total sales for August 2025, wtth 60,501 units sold in August 2025. The company had sold 63,175 units in the same period last year, while in July this year, it had sold sold 60,073 units.
The company said exports grew by 21 per cent YoY last month, underscoring its ambition of positioning India as Hyundai’s largest export hub outside South Korea.
“Transcending geographical boundaries, we at Hyundai Motor India take immense pride in ‘Make in India’ and continue delivering world-class, value-driven products tailored for global markets,” said Tarun Garg, Whole-time Director and Chief Operating Officer, HMIL.
He added that the company’s strategy to synergise advanced manufacturing technologies with India’s skilled workforce is gaining strong traction. “Our goal is to establish India as a strategic manufacturing base for emerging economies and to support the Government of India’s ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative,” Garg noted.
