Chery has submitted a patent application for its Tiggo 8 SUV, marking the seventh model the Chinese carmaker has filed for in India so far this year. Reportedly, the new-generation Tiggo 8 will debut in China later this year, and as per the design application, Chery has filed a patent for the new SUV here. While this may hint at a possible India launch, there has been no official announcement from the brand yet.
- The new-gen Tiggo 8 is 4,749mm long, almost the same as the Toyota Fortuner, which measures 4,795mm
- Features include LED headlights, a 15.6-inch touchscreen and a 12-speaker setup
Tiggo 8 design and features
Slim headlights with L-shaped DRLs, ADAS
The 2025 Tiggo 8 has a 2,825mm wheelbase, and it’s 4,749mm long, 1,880mm wide and 1,710mm high. Interestingly, reports suggest that Chery will sell the new Tiggo 8 in two front fascia designs. The version whose patent application was filed here earlier this month gets a massive front grille with lots of chrome splattered all over, similar to the MG Hector. Headlights have a slim design, and each of them comes with two L-shaped LED daytime running lamps.
Flap-type door handles are present on the side, alloy wheels have a multi-spoke design, and cladding on the wheel arches and under the doors is finished in gloss black. The car’s rear features a prominent spoiler and connected tail-lights, above which is the ‘CHERY’ lettering.
