Nasser Tahavai, a prominent Iranian director and filmmaker, died at the age of eight. Marzieh Wafamehr, his wife, wrote on Facebook’s social network: “Nasser Tahavai, an artist who chose the difficulty of living, was released.”
Nasser Tahavai was born in Abadan.
Before the revolution, he had recorded three brilliant and acclaimed fiction films, “Treatment in the presence of others,” and “Curse” alongside his very popular and cursed series, along with his documentaries and cursed films, and had many difficulties after the revolution.
Napoleon’s Daijan series, based on a popular, attractive and humorous novel by Iraj, is one of the lasting cinematic and television works in Iran.
After the revolution, Mr. Tahavai worked on a small two -part script for a year and spent two years pre -production of the television series, but was finally dismissed from directing and producing the series, and his script was never made.
Despite the obstacles he encountered after the revolution, he made the film “Captain the Sun” in 2007, which won the Locarno Festival’s Bronze Festival. The film, which is an adaptation of Ernest Hemingway, was made in southern Iran.
Mr. Tahavai also made the film “E Iran” in northern Iran and in the village of Masouleh.
It took more than a decade for him to make his next film, making “Paper Paper” in the year after five years. This was the last cinematic work to be shown.
Nasser Tahavai started the bitter tea film based on a screenplay from himself in Khuzestan. The film did not end with a story of the Iran -Iraq war. The reasons for the film were not financed and the lack of support.
Nasser Tahavai, who has always been a serious critical of the cultural-artistic space, only won the Fajr Film Festival’s Special Award, but did not attend the ceremony and did not receive a prize.
He also made prominent documentaries that have survived in the history of Iranian cinema, including “Bad Jinn” and “Arbaeen”.
The documentary “The Bad Jinn” directed by Nasser Tahavai, narrated by Ahmad Shamloo, was produced in Bandar Lengeh in the year 6, which deals with a ritual in southern Iran.
Nasser Tahavai was closely linked to many of his cultural figures, including storyteller Gholamhossein Saedi.
Mr. Taqa’i made the film “Relaxation in the presence of others” with the adaptation of the story of “Unnamed Farewells” Gholamhossein Saedi.
The two later had trips to the south of Iran, resulting in Mr. Tahavi’s “Bad Jinn” documentary and Mr. Saadi’s book “Air”, which are reports of culture and ceremonies around it in southern Iran.
Last year, in honor of Nasser Takhavai, a commemoration was held entitled “Celebration of Cinema Cinema”.
