Reports have been doing the rounds that another leading lady may replace Priyanka in the all-female buddy road movie which will also star Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif.
WhenZoya was asked about the project, she told a news portal that they are just waiting for the dates.
However, Zoya did not clarify whether Jee Le Zaraa will be made with the same cast. She also did not comment about Priyanka’s exit from the project. Going by her statement, it seems like the film will start rolling in the near future.
Jee Le Zaraa has been co-written by Zoya and Reema Kagti and it will also mark Farhan Akhtar‘s return to direction after Don 2. The movie was announced in 2021 on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Farhan’s directorial debut Dil Chahta Hai. Earlier reports have suggested that the film will go on floors by the end of 2023.
In March, Farhan was seen scouting for locations in Rajasthan for Jee Le Zaraa. He took to social media and shared a picture of himself standind in a desert. Reacting to the post, Alia had commented, “Can’t waittttt.”
