KCR government has taken a key decision. The Cabinet has decided to recognize orphans in Telangana as Children of the State. Minister KTR said that from now on, the parents of those children are the government. Minister KTR revealed the decisions taken in the cabinet meeting which lasted for about six hours. KTR said that along with the development programs of the state, the Telangana cabinet has taken another decision in a noble and humanitarian sense. He said that the care and management of the orphan children in the state will henceforth belong to the government. It has been revealed that the Cabinet has given an order to the Child Welfare Department to bring an orphan policy in the state. KTR said that the government is going to take care, support and governance of orphan children like nowhere else in the country.

KTR said that while the state government is already implementing wonderful programs for the poor in a humanitarian sense, now the government has specifically identified the orphans and provided shelter to them. He said that the ministerial sub-committee is already working in this regard. He said that CM KCR has suggested to the Minister of Child Welfare and the officials to frame the Orphan Policy by recognizing them as Children of the State. CM KCR has ordered to bring the policy till the next cabinet meeting. KTR said that the policy will be approved in the next cabinet.
