Ever since the official teaser of OMG 2 starring Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi landed online, it was reported that the Examining Committee of the censor board has referred the film to the Revision Committee owing to the nationwide backlash received by director Om Raut’s Adipurush.
Several reports are doing the rounds that OMG 2 has been put on hold till it gets cleared by the censor board keeping people’s sentiments in mind.While the team of OMG 2 has remained tight-lipped about the development,Pankaj has broken his silence over the matter.
When asked about the film, Pankaj told Zoom TV that he is not allowed to speak about it. However, he urged people to not believe what is being said and written about OMG 2. He asserted that people are saying a lot of things but he assured the truth will come out once the film releases.On Tuesday, Akshay dropped the devotional track Oonchi Oonchi Waadi from his film OMG 2 featuring Pankaj Tripathi as Lord Shiva devotee. It showed Pankaj as Kanti Sharan Mudga, a concerned father, whose son is unable to adjust to a new school. In these difficult times of Kanti Sharan Mudga, Akshay Kumar as Lord Shiva enters his life to give him the strength to face all challenges in life.
Directed by Amit Rai, OMG 2 which also stars Yami Gautam portraying the role of a lawyer, is all set to hit the theatres on August 11. The film is a sequel to Paresh Rawal and Akshay starrer OMG: Oh my God. In the original film, Akshay had essayed the character of Lord Krishna.
