After creating iconic love stories like Maine Pyar Kiya and Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Rajshri Productions is all set to bring another romantic tale to the audience in their upcoming film Dono. The film’s teaser was released today. It marks the debut of star kids — Rajveer Deol, son of actor Sunny Deol and Pooja Deol, and Paloma Dhillon, daughter of renowned actress Poonam Dhillon and producer Ashok Thakeria. Dono also marks the directorial debut of filmmaker and producer Sooraj Barjatya’s son Avnish Barjatya. He has previously worked as an assistant director on his father’s films like Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Uunchai.
The teaser opens with Rajveer and Paloma sitting at a picturesque beach setting, engaged in a heartwarming conversation. Paloma’s character asks, “Hum itana rejection se darte kyu hai? (Why do we fear rejection?)” To this, Rajveer’s character replies, “Itana bhi bura kya hai humme? (Are we this bad?)” The teaser then takes the audience on a beautiful journey as it showcases the film’s lead couple attending a destination wedding of their friends. While taking part in various wedding festivities, Rajveer and Paloma’s characters discover love for each other. The video’s tagline reads, “Two strangers, one destination.”
Excited about his younger son’s debut film, Sunny Deol took to Instagram to share the teaser and wrote, “Welcoming back the innocence of love with two strangers who have one destination. A new journey unfolds in cinemas soon! Directed by @avnish.barjatya, Starring #RajveerDeol & @palomadhillon @rajshrifilms @officialjiostudios @donothefilm.” Sunny’s elder son, Karan Deol, made his acting debut with the 2019 film Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas, which was directed by his father.
