In the second attempt, Neeraj jumped to the first position by clearing a distance of 88.17 meters. In the third attempt, only 86.32 was enough. 84.64, 87.73, 83.98 were the distances Neeraj covered in subsequent attempts.
Kishore Jena of India along with Neeraj, D.P. Manu also competed in the men’s javelin throw final. Kishore finished fifth (84.77 m) and Manu (83.48 m) sixth. to
