Out of the World Cup, out of the series; Finally came on Saturday and the death month performance!
The Aussies won the first match of the South Africa-Australia ODI series. The Aussies won on the wings of Marnus Labuscheina, who came off as a concussion sub. Kangarupada won by three wickets.
Batting first, South Africa scored 222 runs in a one-man fight by skipper Temba Bavuma. Bavuma scored 114 runs off 142 balls with 14 fours and a six. Marco Jansen scored 32 runs and was the second top scorer of the team.
But the Aussies’ reply started with a collapse as Jansen cleanly bowled opener David Warner on the second ball of the second phase to put South Africa on track.

Labuchane led the Aussies to victory in partnership with Ashton Agar at number eight. Labuschagne scored 80 runs off 93 balls with eight straight fours. Agar gave good support and scored 48 runs. He won the finishing run.

Labuschagne is the player who was left out of the team and this series in the Aussie World Cup. But he himself was needed to win the match for the Aussies. The player did not get a place in the 15-member squad for the World Cup. The player was also not in the squad for the ongoing series against South Africa. But the player replaced the injured Steve Smith in the team.
This is the second time Labuschagne has made the team as a concussion sub. In the 2019 Ashes, the star replaced Steve Samit at Lord’s. It was the sub that changed the actor’s career.
