Starfield has released update 1.7.33, which should be rolling out to PC and Xbox players right now. Prior to its release, it was claimed that Starfield would be the most-polished Bethesda game at launch. It seems Starfield has mostly lived up to that promise, though that doesn’t mean it’s been a completely bug-free experience for fans.
While it may very well be true that Starfield has fewer bugs than any other Bethesda game at launch, the game still has its fair share of technical mishaps. Luckily, Bethesda has already released updates for Starfield to address some of these problems. The latest update for Starfield fixes even more of the game’s lingering issues.
After downloading the latest update for Starfield, issues with characters wandering away from their proper locations should be fixed, as well as the issue where Star Stations were incorrectly labeled as a player-owned ship. Bethesda has also fixed an issue that allowed a vendor’s full inventory to be accessible. While Bethesda didn’t provide specifics, this seems to suggest that Starfield‘s puddle glitch may have been fixed, but that will require further testing once fans have downloaded the update for themselves.
The new Starfield update addresses issues with the game’s graphics, like blurry textures. A big fix in this update addresses Starfield‘s scanner, which would start hitching after a certain point. Hopefully downloading the new update will mean that this problem is a thing of the past, and Starfield players with a lot of hours in the game will once again be able to use their scanner without having to deal with the hitching issue. Other, unspecified stability and performance improvements have also been implemented as of the latest update, which should mean less crashing and freezes for Starfield players.
And finally, the new update for Starfield has fixed a couple of problems with ships. Prior to the update, Starfield ships had an issue that would cause displayed items to disappear on mannequins, as well as a problem that would cause items stored in Razorleaf Storage Containers and Weapon Racks to disappear after commandeering another ship.
Starfield players can expect Bethesda to issue more updates for the game in the future. Most of the updates will likely be bug fixes, though there’s always the chance that more substantial changes could come. Starfield players have a lot of features they want to see implemented in the open world sci-fi RPG, but time will tell if those features are ever actually added to the game.
