Mahatma Gandhi Quotes: Rays of light in everyone’s life
Born on October 02, 1869 in Porbandar, Gujarat, India, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi is always remembered as Mahatma Gandhi / Father of India by all the citizens of the country. Today we are celebrating Gandhi’s 154th birth anniversary. Today their importance, their history, their duty is to remember them specially. The reason can be attributed to all his contributions.
The main inspirations for Gandhiji’s philosophy were the Bhagavadgita and the writings of the famous Russian writer Leo Tolstoy. What we should learn from this is that by reading books, not only more knowledge but also truth, authenticity and good qualities are inculcated in us.
Gandhiji is known as the pioneer of peace and non-violence, the leader of truth, the father of the nation of India. Truth is also one of his main principles. Gandhiji devoted his life to the broad cause of Nija or the search for truth. Gandhi tried to learn from his mistakes and experimented on himself to achieve the path of truth. So he titled his autobiography ‘The Story of My Experiment with Truth’.
The principles of Mahatma Gandhi that light the path of life
Gandhiji, who had staked his claim that freedom from the British should be achieved through non-violence, believed that the whole world would be destroyed if they continued to pay each other. He advocated this determination until the country got independence from the British. My classmates, Gandhi fought against apartheid not only in India but also in South Africa and became a Mahatma there. They shouted slogans against the British, boycotted their goods and fought for the freedom of the country. On this occasion, he gave a call to the citizens of the country to do or not. Due to this, the feeling and inspiration to fight for freedom increased among the citizens. India got independence in 1947 due to their continuous struggle, satyagraha, many events. Today, his memories and contributions will be immortalized in the people of India and in the ages to come.
In this context, if we look at his philosophy, he was a common Hindu who saw all religions as equals. Gandhiji, who lived by many principles, said that to solve the root cause of India’s problems, one should stay away from the Seven Deadly Sins. namely..
Education without character
Wealth without labor
Pleasure without conscience
Unprincipled politics
Business without policy
Knowledge without humanity
Worship without sacrifice
I want to say that there is no doubt that if we understand and adopt the meaning of these, we can become good citizens, become good human beings and find prosperity in life easily.
I will conclude by saying that I am forever indebted to all of you who have given me the opportunity to speak for so long on this day of Gandhi Jayanti celebrations.
Jai Bharat, Jai Karnataka.
