
Hangzhou, A. 2- India’s Aihika Mukherjee and Sutheertha Mukherjee settled for the bronze medal in the women’s doubles TT category of the Asian Games.
In the semi-final match on Monday, the Indian pair lost to North Korea’s Sugyong Pak and Suyong Cha 11-7, 8-11, 11-7, 8-11, 9-11, 11-5, 2-11 and finished third. This is the third medal won by India on Monday. On the other hand, the Indian women’s and men’s team opened their account with bronze medals in the figure skating event. The Indian women’s roller skating team comprising of Sanjana Bathula, Karthika Jagadeeswaran, Heeral Sadhu and Aarti Kasturi Raj won the bronze medal in the 3000m speed skating relay.
The women’s team quartet finished the race in 4 minutes and 34.861 seconds. Chinese Taipei won the gold medal with a time of 4 minutes 19.447 seconds, while South Korea won silver with a time of 4 minutes 21.146 seconds.
Men’s Speed Skating 3000m. Satisfied with bronze in relay. The team of Aryan Paul, Anand Kumar, Siddhant and Vikram clocked 4:10.128 seconds to finish third. This is the second medal won by India on Monday.
