Before the match, prayers were offered for the victory of Team India. The Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association organized a pooja before the match. Sangh has worshiped Lord Indranag. It was organized in a mythical temple in Dharamshala.
According to Indian Express news, Indian Premier League Chairman Arun Dhumal participated in the puja. This was done for India’s victory. Arun Dhumal said before the match, we have done one pooja here and the second pooja will be done in the temple. Here everyone worships Indru Naga. We have also performed Havan so that the match can be completed without any hindrance.” The Indru Naam temple is situated on a hill about 4 km from Dharamshala. It is believed that God will protect from rain during the match.
There is a chance of rain during the match between India and New Zealand. If the match is significantly affected by rain, the overs may be shortened. If the match is cancelled, both the teams will get one point each. It rained during the previous match at Dharamshala. A match between South Africa and Netherlands was played here. That match was also affected by rain. So it was reduced to 43-43 overs.
Teams from India and New Zealand have performed brilliantly so far in the World Cup 2023. Both have 8 points each. New Zealand is at number one and India at number two. Therefore, this competition can become a collision.
