Local roller hockey player Jhujhar Singh has made the city proud as the captain leads India to the silver medal in the Asian Roller Hockey Championship held in China from October 18 to October 27.
Singh, who is a student of KBDAV Senior Secondary School, Sector 7, Chandigarh and started playing roller hockey at the age of ten, was also the goalkeeper of the Indian team.
He was earlier member of the silver medal-winning Chandigarh roller hockey team in the nationals before he guided the UT team to the gold medal in 2021 nationals. In 2022, Singh was part of the bronze medal-winning UT team in the nationals.
