Salman Khan‘s Tiger 3 had a fabulous opening on Diwali and earned over Rs 44 crore on day 1 and the streak continued till Sunday. Post Monday, the movie started witnessing a drop in its overall occupancy in theatres which severely affected the film’s business. And it looks like the Maneesh Sharma directorial has lost the grip as it has failed to attract the audience in theatres even after the culmination of ICC World Cup.
The makers were trying to encash the Diwali release but the audience’s focus shifted away from the film due to the World Cup and Team India’s stellar run in the tournament, except for the final. According to Sacnilk’s early estimates, Tiger 3 is set to earn Rs 5.68 crore nett in India on day 9 for all languages.
The World Cup final between India and Australia on Sunday severely impacted the film’s collections as it witnessed a drop of 43.2 per cent compared to its collections of Saturday which stood at Rs 10.5 crore on its day 8.

Tiger 3 Review
The makers are set to incur heavy losses on the film after their dream run at the box-office with Pathan (a YRF production) and Jawan (YRF was the distributor for the Shah Rukh Khan starrer).
The only way the loss can be averted is if the film makes Rs 600 crore at the box-office to just recover its Rs 300 crore investment, and with the film sitting at Rs 224.5 crore, it doesn’t look easy for the film to collect another Rs 375 crore at the box-office in the coming days.
