While it’s not a serious injury and structural damage is out of the question, Rodrygo’s knee is still sore and it would be wise to give him the opportunity to recover so that he’s able to replace Vinicius more effectively over the next few months.
Real Madrid desperately need Rodrygo’s presence on the field while Vinicius is out, so rushing him back and allowing him to play through pain immediately after the FIFA break doesn’t seem to be a good idea. That’s why Ancelotti and his coaching staff will likely keep him out of this match and give Brahim and Joselu the opportunity to earn the three points for Madrid-
