“Decided to opt for a transparent, public government”

Mallikarjun Kharge: Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said that the people of Telangana have decided to elect a transparent and pro-people government that will provide security to the poor and vulnerable sections of the state. Telangana people are called to vote in large numbers. Polling for assembly elections is going on in Telangana today. Voters queue up to exercise their right to vote amid tight security.

No power on earth can stop this idea.” This is the time to fulfill the innumerable dreams and aspirations of the people of Telangana, for which you have shed your sweat and blood for years, he said.

Earlier, senior leader of Congress party Rahul Gandhi responded on X platform. Posting.. “People will defeat the elites today! Telangana brothers and sisters, come out and vote in large numbers! Vote to build a 'golden' Telangana, vote for Congress.”

Also.. Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also appealed to the people of Telangana to vote in large numbers. She posted on the X platform.. “Request (Telangana people) to think and vote with full enthusiasm and energy. Voting is your right and biggest responsibility. Fulfill the dreams of Telangana people. Vote power. Congratulations in advance. Jai Telangana. Jai Hind.” They wrote that.

Voting began at 7 am in 35,655 polling centers across the state, officials said. While polling will be held till 5 pm in 106 constituencies, it will end at 4 pm in 13 constituencies affected by left-wing extremism.
