Kamareddy, Telangana Election Results 2023 Highlights: BJP’s K Venkata Ramana Reddy has won in the Kamareddy constituency, successfully defeating Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (of BRS) and Telangana Congress chief Revanth Reddy. According to election commission data, BJP’s KVR Reddy secured 66,652 votes and led the polls with a margin of 6,741 votes against KCR of BRS and Congress’ Revanth Reddy.
The Kamareddy assembly constituency was the hotspot of this election in Telangana, as witnessed a triangle battle among Telangana Chief Minister and BRS supremo K Chandrashekar Rao, his challenger Congress state unit chief Revanth Reddy, and the BJP’s K Venkata Ramana Reddy.
The high-stakes Telangana Assembly saw a triangular contest involving the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) (then Telangana Rashtra Samithi), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and the Congress.
Congress has crossed the majority mark in Telangana, clinching 64 seats so far and is set to dethrone the K Chandrashekar Rao-led BRS government.
