Pakistan Women's Cricket Team defeated New Zealand Women's Cricket Team by 10 runs in the second match of the three-match T20 series on Tuesday, November 5. In the first match of this series, Pakistan had won by 7 wickets. With this the Pakistan team took a 2-0 lead in the series. With this lead in the series, the team achieved an achievement. Pakistan won the T20 series against New Zealand for the first time.
This is Pakistan's first T20 International series win outside Asia and Ireland. The team has succeeded in winning the T20 series away from home after five years. The team had last won the series away from home against Bangladesh in 2018.
Batting first, Pakistan team scored 137 runs.
In the second match, New Zealand won the toss and decided to field first. Batting first, Pakistan scored 137 runs losing 6 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, New Zealand could score only 127 runs after losing seven wickets. Alia Riaz and Fatima Sana played important roles in this victory of Pakistan.
Muniba Ali played the highest innings of 35 runs on 28 balls for the team. Apart from him, Alia scored unbeaten 32 runs on 22 balls. Fran Jonas and Molly Penfold took 2-2 wickets for the New Zealand team.
