In Coimbatore, the DMK activists who were blocking the road in front of the DMK office were beaten by the police.
As the traffic was not restricted on the Koyambedu road where the DMUDIK head office is located, the DMUDIK volunteers suddenly started a road blockade. Because of this, there was a great buzz in that area.
While the police engaged in talks with the DMK activists, it ended in failure. Following this, the police used batons on the volunteers who were blocking the road and dismissed them. Now road traffic leading to Koyambedu flyover has been banned following their request.
