UGC-NET DEC2023: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the UGC NET Answer Key for the UGC NET-2023 (December) exam on January 3. The answer key is made available on the official website. Candidates who appeared for the exam can check the answer key by entering the application number, password or date of birth details. Question papers are also made available along with answer key. Candidates who have any objection on the answer key should inform online from 3rd to 5th January. Candidates have to pay a fee of Rs.200 for each objection question. After receiving the objections, the UGC NET (December) 2023 result along with the final answer key will be released on January 10.
UGC NET December-2023 Answer Key and Objections
The National Testing Agency conducted the examinations from December 6 to 19 in many centers in the major cities of the country. A total of 9,45,918 candidates across the country appeared for this examination conducted for 83 subjects. This exam is useful to compete for junior research fellowship and assistant professor posts in universities. Computer based examination was conducted in total 83 subjects. Only 6 percent of the total candidates appearing in the examination are declared as NET passers (Assistant Professor). Similarly, in the selection of JRF and Assistant Professor category candidates will be announced on the basis of minimum qualifying marks. For this a normalization process will be undertaken keeping in mind the examination to be conducted in multiple slots.

➥ One can enter the teaching profession with the rank of Assistant Professor. As per UGC norms – Candidates who have passed Assistant Professor category in NET should be selected for these posts. As per the recommendations of the 7th PRC, the UGC has directed the pay scale of Assistant Professor to be Rs.67 thousand per month as basic pay.
➥ If selected for JRF.. in leading research laboratories for two years as Junior Research Fellow and then another two years as Senior Research Fellow.
➥ A fellowship of Rs.31 thousand per month will be received for the first two years of JRF status.
➥ Successful completion of JRF will be eligible for SRF. In this phase, a scholarship of Rs.35 thousand per month will be received for two years.
➥ Those who complete JRF and SRF can start their career as scientists.
➥ Preference will be given to those who passed NET in the selection of PhD and research candidates in IITs, Triple ITs and other research institutes.
➥ Those who are selected for JRF and complete their PhD in Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences subjects will get opportunities as research scholars in various government departments like Department of Archaeology, Department of Economic Statistics, Ministry of Social Affairs and Law.
