‘Dunk‘ which released on December 21, 2023 enjoyed the benefit of Christmas and New Year holiday, yet the opening box office collections of the movie were less compared to Shah Rukh Khan‘s previous two films. But considering its different genre than ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan’, ‘Dunki’ is still considered to have a decent business. The film has reached its Day 20 and the numbers have just kept going down over the past few days post the New Year.
On Day 20, ‘Dunki’ managed to make Rs 1.30 crore as per Sacnilk Entertainment, which is almost the same as it made on its Day 19. With that, the total collection of the SRK starrer so far, in all languages is Rs 219 crore in India. The lifetime collection of ‘Tiger 3‘ in India is Rs 260 crore and ‘Dunki’ is expected to have a number less than Rs 250 crore which the trade still considers decent as it saw a clash with ‘Lettuce Part 1: Ceasefire’.
However, the trade is really disappointed for the overseas number of the film considering its a Shah Rukh Khan starrer. The film has crossed Rs 400 crore worldwide. Meanwhile, by the end of its day 19, the Prabhas starrer ‘Salaar’ has made Rs 397 crore approx at the Indian box office.
‘Dunki’ is clearing nearing closer to the end of its box office run but this film, along with ‘Salaar’ and ‘Animal’ will continue to screen in theatres as there are no major big releases till ‘Fighter’ on January 25, 2024.
