Police alert regarding Republic Day

Bhuntar. There will be special police vigil in Devbhoomi Kullu during Republic Day. The police administration has started strengthening security arrangements for the programs to be held on January 26. In this regard, the police have started increasing vigil at other places including the entrance gate of the district. According to the information received from the police administration, special preparations are being made to ensure that no untoward incident of any kind occurs during Republic Day and vigil is being increased at all places. Due to the instructions of the government and police headquarters, every time before the Republic Day, the security of all the districts is increased and under this, the security agencies in Kullu are still on alert. Preparations are at their peak for Republic Day to be held on January 26 and the schedule of programs to be held during this period has been finalized. During this period, many types of programs are going to be organized at different places in the district.

The main program will be held in Dhalpur. These days the tourism season is in full swing in the district. While tourists are heading towards Manali, a large number are also heading towards Manikaran and Banjar. The police have kept an eye on these people. At Bhuntar, the entrance gate of the district, the police has started keeping a special watch on the vehicles coming from outside. A sharp vigil is also maintained through CCTV cameras. Apart from this, other activities are also being monitored. Apart from this, the police team is investigating every situation even during night time. Kullu Superintendent of Police Sakshi said that special security arrangements are being made in the district on January 26. Instructions have been given to keep a close watch on any suspect coming from outside the district so that no untoward incident happens. On the other hand, in view of Republic Day, security will be tight at Bhuntar Airport also. Although the security cordon remains alert all the time at Bhuntar, the oldest Kullu-Manali airport of the state, special precautions are being taken on Republic Day.
