Volkswagen India has expanded its network in Kerala, inaugurating six new customer touchpoints, including city stores in Calicut, Trivandrum, and Kochi, along with a new body shop facility in Kochi. This move aims to enhance the brand’s presence and meet the growing demand for premium mobility solutions in the state.
With these new outlets, Volkswagen‘s footprint in Kerala now includes 21 sales and 16 service facilities. The brand continues to strengthen its market position in this key region.

The new city stores will offer Volkswagen India’s premium product portfolio, which includes the 5-star GNCAP safety-rated Taigun and Virtus, as well as the globally acclaimed Tiguan SUV. The Calicut city store will feature a two-car display, while the Trivandrum and Kochi outlets will each showcase three cars from the brand’s portfolio, providing a wider range of options for customers.
In addition to the city stores, the new body shop facility in Kochi, equipped with 11 service bays, provides comprehensive services such as Express Service and full-fledged body repair facilities. This enhancement aims to deliver efficient and high-quality service to Volkswagen customers in the region.
The expansion initiative has been led by Ajit Bhaskaran, Managing Director of Phoenix Cars, who has recently added two more sales and service facilities in Kodungallur and Palakkad. Sabu Johny, Managing Director of EVM Motors, will oversee the city stores in Kochi and Trivandrum, as well as the new body shop in Kochi. These touchpoints will employ over 110 skilled sales and service executives to ensure a seamless and customer-centric experience.
The brand has also launched a special celebratory Onam Edition of the Virtus and Taigun, featuring front parking sensors, dual-tone horn, puddle lamps, TSI fender badge, and more. This special edition is designed to resonate with the festive spirit and provide additional features for customers.
