This Independence Day will see a box office clash unlike any other as three major Bollywood films — ‘Street 2‘, ‘In the game‘ and ‘Vedaa’ —hit the big screens on August 15th. This marks the first time in 16 years that the industry will witness a high-profile showdown with actors Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao going up against Akshay Kumar and John Abraham during this extended holiday weekend.

Sharvari, who plays the titular role in ‘Vedaa’, has shared her thoughts on this much-anticipated box-office clash.

Talking to Pinkvilla, the actress expressed her excitement and optimism about the upcoming release, emphasizing her love for cinema and the joy of watching films in theatres. “I have loved watching films. I love the medium and I love the experience of going with my friends or my family or even alone sometimes. I enjoy being in a theatre and being transported to another world and I feel that in India, we love movies,” Sharvari shared.

Acknowledging the stiff competition, Sharvari remained confident that the diverse offerings on August 15th would cater to all types of audiences. “There’s no scarcity on August 15th; whoever wants to watch whichever genre, it’s available for you.”
She further said that it’s a holiday for our country, and she hopes that people go to theatres and enjoy the films of their choice. She said, “As a movie lover, I hope we were able to create an incredible opening day and that all films do incredible.”
