Simple Energy, a Bengaluru-based company, has announced the opening of six new outlets called ‘Simple Stores’, which will focus on retailing the brand’s electric scooters, including the One and the Dot One models. This marks the company’s first step toward expansion since its initial launch.

Simple Energy will design the retail space and experience centres but the showrooms will be owned and operated by Simple Energy’s official network partners.These dealerships will be located in cities such as Vijayawada, Bangalore (Rajajinagar, JP Nagar, and Marathahalli), Pune, and Goa.
The Simple Energy ONE and Dot One electric scooter are priced at Rs 1.45 lakh and Rs 1 lakh respectively (ex-showroom). The ONE’s battery set-up comprises a fixed as well as removable battery that offer a combined capacity of 4.8kWh, and a claimed range of 212km. Meanwhile, the Simple Dot One is powered by a 3.7kWh battery which has a claimed range of 151km. Powering the e-scooters is a motor that has a peak output of 8.5kW and 72Nm. The suspension setup consists of a telescopic fork and a monoshock, while braking is handled by disc brakes with CBS.
Simple Energy, an Indian electric vehicle startup, was founded in 2019 and released their first mass market motorcycle by 2021 called the Simple ONE. However, deliveries were delayed to June 2022 and then further delayed to January 2023. Deliveries of the scooters to their customers started in June 2023 and so far Simple Energy has sold 639 units thus far.
