Nicholas Hoult teases Bill Skarsgård’s transformation for Nosferatu. John Cena talks the long road to Peacemaker season 2. Ana de Armas hypes up her John Wick spinoff, Ballerina. Plus, aliens and ghosts run amok in a new trailer for the Taste anime. To me, my spoilers!
X-Men/The Chronicles of Narina
Speaking with Buzzfeed UK (via Comic Book), James McAvoy confirmed he suspects “someone else” will be taking over the roles of both Charles Xavier and Mr. Tumnus in the MCU’s X-Men and Greta Gerwig’s Chronicles of Narnia.
That’s very kind. Although, I suspect, with both [Mr. Tumnus in Narnia] and [the X-Men‘s Charles Xavier]we will be seeing someone else play those roles.”
Nosferatu
In a new interview with IndieWire (via CBR), Nicholas Hoult praised Bill Skarsgård’s performance in Nosferatu as both “terrifying” and “worrying.”
He’s terrifying, it’s not Bill. That’s what’s so worrying about it. He gives a truly transformative performance where there is not anything of Bill left and it’s scary and intimidating. His voice, his physicality, I mean the makeup he has, it’s really a wonderful character, and he did beautiful character work with it.
Ballerina
Ana de Armas addressed her John Wick spinoff Ballerina‘s numerous reshoots in a recent interview with Collider.
All we did in those reshoots had to be there. We got amazing footage. It’s really spectacular. A trailer is coming out soon, I’ve been told. I saw it, and it’s beautiful. I’m very proud of it. It’s really exciting. It’s dangerous, it’s sexy, it’s very John Wick. I think people are going to be surprised. I’m biased. Of course, I like the movie, but I think it’s really cool. It’s going to be amazing.
Little Bites
A mother must protect her daughter from a demon named Agyar in the trailer for Little Bitesa horror film produced by Cher starring Heather Langenkamp, Barbara Crampton, Bonnie Aarons, Krsy Fox and Chaz Bono.
Lanterns
According to THR, Josh Brolin has passed on the offer to play Hal Jordan in Max’s upcoming Green Lantern series, Lanterns.
Peacemaker
John Cena discussed the long road to Peacemaker‘s second season in another recent interview with Variety.
What you got to understand and keep in mind is I’m the guy who plays Peacemaker. So when we come out with a show and it’s the No. 1 show on Max and, finally, we take a character who is supposed to be dead, bring Peacemaker back to life, and people enjoy the universe and want to see more of it — but then you have a shift in the structure of who is calling the shots over at DC. James and Peter actually both called me and said, ‘You know what, we want to take some time to do this right. But it’s just going to take a little time.’ So it was crazy to know we did something people want, they want more of it, let’s do it again. And everybody’s like, ‘No wait, we just got to do a few things first. And we have this whole plan, and it’s all going to work together. So if you just trust us, we’ll be okay.’ And it seems like forever ago, now that we’re filming every day, it seems like it will be just right around the corner that we’re watching Season 2.
Wing-Man
Toei has released a brief teaser trailer for its live-action Wing-Man TV series.
Taste
Finally, a pair of high schoolers discover both ghosts and aliens are very real in the trailer for Science Saru’s adaptation of Taste.
The story of young love and occult battles begins in DAN DA DAN! When Momo and Okarun’s beliefs clash, they’re thrown into a world of ghosts, aliens, and awakened powers. Premiering worldwide on Netflix starting October 3 – release date may vary by country. pic.twitter.com/ekKR3EA8zr
