Not likely to see Northern Lights tonight. Here’s why
DALENCIA JENKINS CLEAR SKIES AND SLIGHTLY COOLER TEMPERATURES. AT LEAST IT FEELS LIKE FALL OUT THERE. IF YOU’RE HEADING OUT AND ABOUT, BUT JUST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A LIGHT JACKET WITH YOU. OTHERWISE, IT IS GOING TO BE A NICE DAY, SO DON’T LET A SLIGHT CHILL IN THE AIR STOP YOU FROM ENJOYING IT. LOOKING AT OUR TEMPERATURES, IT’S 59 RIGHT NOW AT BWI MARSHALL, 63 DOWNTOWN, 61. IN WOODSTOCK, STILL IN THE 50S, OUT IN WESTERN MARYLAND AND ON THE EASTERN SHORE IN THE 60S. BY THIS AFTERNOON, WE’RE GOING TO BE MAKING IT TO THE LOW 70S IN A FEW SPOTS. BUT REALLY RELATIVELY STICKING AROUND THAT UPPER 60 DEGREE RANGE FOR MUCH OF THE AREA INTO THIS AFTERNOON, AS SUNNY SKIES WILL CONTINUE. WE’LL HAVE CLEAR SKIES OVERNIGHT AND TEMPERATURES WILL BE FALLING TO THE 40S. NOW THE CLEAR SKIES MIGHT MAKE IT EASIER TO SEE THE NORTHERN LIGHTS, SO YESTERDAY WE HAD A BEAUTIFUL DISPLAY ALL ACROSS MARYLAND. I JUST LOVED GOING THROUGH MY FEED AND SEEING EVERYONE’S PICTURES. SO THIS IS THE FORECAST FOR TONIGHT. THERE’S A RED LINE HERE. I’M GOING TO BRING IT A LITTLE CLOSER FOR YOU. THIS RED LINE WAS FARTHER TO THE SOUTH YESTERDAY. NOW IT’S STARTING TO FORECAST FARTHER IN TREND FARTHER NORTHWARD. SO IT’S NOT LIKELY THAT MANY OF US WILL SEE IT, AT LEAST NOT AS STRONG AS YESTERDAY. BUT FINGERS CROSSED THAT WE WILL HAVE A CHANCE BECAUSE YESTERDAY IT WAS FORECASTED TO BE A LITTLE LESS INTENSE THAN IT ACTUALLY WAS. SO THERE IS A CHANCE. SO FINGERS CROSSED FOR SURE. TOMORROW WE’LL HAVE ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL DAY WITH SUNNY SKIES. MAYBE A CLOUD HERE AND THERE, BUT SLIGHTLY WARMER AS WE’LL START MAKING OUR WAY TO THE UPPER SECONDS AND THEN INTO SUNDAY FOR GAME DAY. IT IS GOING TO BE A BEAUTIFUL DAY FOR A GAME. THE RAVENS WILL BE PLAYING THE COMMANDERS SO A NICE SET. LOCAL TEAMS PLAYING A NICE RIVALRY. THEY’RE LOOKING AT WARM AND MAYBE A LITTLE BREEZY HERE AND THERE AS WE MAKE OUR WAY THROUGH THE GAME WITH TEMPERATURES MAKING IT TO THE LOW 80S FOR THE AFTERNOON. SO A NICE DAY TO ENJOY A GAME THERE. NOW MOVING INTO OUR NEW WEEK, THAT’S WHEN WE’RE GOING TO TREND A LITTLE ON THE COOLER SIDE, WHEREBY TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY WE’RE GOING TO BE IN THE 50S. THOSE MORNING LOWS WILL BE ON THE COOLER SID
