The Durga pandal by the Mukerji family in Mumbai was full of guests as celebrations for Dussehra started, a tradition cherished by all. There was an adorable moment between Sherlyn Chopra and Rani Mukerji during the sindoor khela celebrations that created quite a buzz among viewers and media.
In a clip taken by a paparazzo, Sherlyn went to touch Rani’s feet. Rani looked shocked and requested Sherlyn not to do that.
The banter between the two also exhibited the jolly aspect as they both started applying sindoor to each other’s heads, properly embracing the festive mood. Sherlyn thanked Rani and then moved forward with the celebrations.

For the occasion, Sherlyn chose an amazing mix of red and gold silk sarees that goes well with bright looks and fresh flowers in her hair. Rani selected a cream and gold saree along with a brilliant red-colored blouse that seemed to resemble the festive atmosphere of the occasion altogether. The old tradition of the Mukherjee family has continued to create the same magic and atmosphere like every year among the attendees. Professionally,Rani was last seen in ‘Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway’ (2023). She will soon be back on the silver screen with a banger as the third edition of ‘Mardaani‘ is around the corner, where she will continue to play the character of the powerful cop Shivani Shivaji Roy.
This year, the Durga Puja Pandal near SNDT Women’s University in Juhu was organized by Rani and her cousin Kajol. It is now turned into an annual event for Mukherjee’s. The pandal had seen all kinds of celebrities from Alia Bhatt to Ranbir Kapoor, Jaya Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Tanishaa, Bipasha Basu, and Karan Singh Grooving during the Navratri days. It is said that Rani would be seen in a family drama by the masters of ‘The Sky Is Pink’, Shonali Bose. There has not been any formal announcement as yet, but fans can’t wait for her new projects.
