Ahoi Ashtami 2024: Origin and Significance
A woman accidentally killed a sleeping lion club during Kartik while digging some soil in a nearby forest.
This led to the deaths of her seven sons, one by one and by the year-end.
Later, the villagers advised her to pray to Ahoy Ashtami Bhagwati by drawing the face of a lion cub and offering prayers.
She continued this for seven years, and by the grace of the goddess, her sons returned to life.
On this day, devotees worship Ahoi Ashtami Bhagwati, the reincarnation of Goddess Parvati, seeking her blessings for their children’s well-being.
