OnePlus recently unveiled the OnePlus 13, its latest flagship smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, its fastest chipset to date. While the phone has been launched in China, rumour has it that it will be coming to India sometime in January next year.
Unlike its predecessor, the OnePlus 13 has a flat 6.82-inch display instead of a curved one. It has BOE’s X2 OLED screen that supports 8T LTPO panel with 2K resolution and Dolby Vision support. While the screen supports up to 800 nits of typical brightness, it can go up to 4,500 nits when watching HDR videos.
As is the case with recently launched Chinese flagship phones, the OnePlus 13 also offers IP68 dust and water resistance in addition to IP69 certification, which enables users to use the phone underwater. Also, OnePlus has opted for an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner this time and a new vibration motor with “gaming controller level feedback”, which the company says is the biggest vibration motor in an Android phone to date.
On the back, you get a huge circular camera island that houses a triple camera setup which comprises of a 50MP Sony LYT-808 primary sensor accompanied by a 50MP Sony LYT-600 periscope lens with 3x optical zoom and a 50MP Samsung S5KJN5 ultrawide sensor which also doubles up as a macro shooter.
The Chinese variant of the OnePlus 13 runs on ColorOS 15 based on Android 15 out of the box, but it is expected that the phone will come with OxygenOS 15 in India. All of this is powered by a 6,000mAh battery that supports 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
Available in White, Obsidian and Blue colourways, the base variant of the OnePlus 13 that comes with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at 4,499 yuan (approx. Rs 53,111) while the 24GB RAM and 1TB storage version costs 5,999 yuan (approx. Rs 70,819).
It is currently available for pre-order in China, but currently, there is no official word on when it will be coming to India. However, some rumours suggest that OnePlus might launch it globally in January next year.
