Hyderabad: A woman who was travelling in a bus with her son to Hyderabad reportedly lost 15 tolas of gold during the trip. When the woman and her son wanted to register a police complaint, they were allegedly misled and finally reached the Abdullapurmet police for lodging the complaint.
According to the Abdullapurmet police, the woman was travelling from Mandapeta to Hyderabad. Her son works at a private company in Manikonda. During the journey, at around 8.30 am, the bus stopped at Narketpally, where the woman and her son got down the bus to have a cup of tea.
When they got back, they found the gold was missing from their luggage. “They were on a highway. They asked some people and came 50 km away, to the Abdullapurmet police for lodging a complaint. We heard her out and tried to investigate,” a police official said.
“The bus had a second driver. Along with one of our female constables, and the mother and son went to check at the tea stall where they had stopped. However, no leads were found,” the police said. A case was registered at the Narketpally police station and further investigation is underway.
